Hyundai has launched the 2026 Verna in India, emphasizing its safety features including a 5-star safety rating and targeting mid-size sedan buyers.
Hyundai Motor India has officially launched its new car, the 2026 Verna, in the Indian market. This latest model comes with 25 updates that enhance aspects such as design, technology, comfort, and safety. With this launch, Hyundai aims to capture the mid-size sedan segment, presenting the Verna as one of the safest cars in its category, featuring multiple safety attributes including a 5-star safety rating and seven airbags. The new Verna is positioned to compete directly with popular models like Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus in India. Hyundai believes that the updated features will strengthen the car's market position. Available in six variants, the starting price for the 2026 Verna is ₹10.98 lakh, reaching up to ₹18.25 lakh for top variants. Moreover, it offers two engine options: a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter petrol engine and a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. In addition to safety, Hyundai has included a variety of stylish and comfort-oriented updates to make the Verna more appealing to customers. The company is confident that these improvements will not only enhance user experience but also attract more buyers in a competitive segment. As the market dynamics shift, Hyundai is poised to regain its footing against formidable competitors like Tata, which recently achieved significant sales figures in India.
