Līna Loceniece's journey in basketball began at the tender age of seven when her mother sought a sport that could channel her boundless energy. Although she initially dreamed of playing football, her path shifted towards basketball and volleyball, eventually leading her to choose basketball due to discomfort experienced during volleyball training. Loceniece's time in Klaipėda not only sharpened her basketball skills but also fostered her leadership qualities and helped her overcome performance anxiety, preparing her for future challenges in the sport.

Currently, Loceniece plays for the Osnabrück Panthers in Germany's top league, where she is adjusting to a physically intense style of play. Her passion for the game, fueled by a family-oriented environment, transcends individual statistics and rewards. Instead, she draws motivation from the love of the sport itself, emphasizing the importance of a supportive community in an athlete's journey.
