A cold front is expected to bring significant rainfall to the Paraíba Valley region in Brazil, with alerts issued for intense rain.

A cold front is moving into the Paraíba Valley region in Brazil, forecasted to bring a week of rain. On Monday, October 9th, various cities in the region, particularly Ubatuba, registered heavy rainfall, with Ubatuba reporting around 118 millimeters, the highest accumulation in the state of São Paulo since the previous night. The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has been monitoring this situation closely, giving warnings to residents about the impending weather conditions.

According to reports from Rede Vanguarda, which collaborated with the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), this cold front is expected to remain over the region through at least Wednesday, October 11th, predominantly affecting northern coastal cities like Ubatuba. Despite being classified as a cold front, the weather will not lead to significantly lower temperatures, as the forecasted range for the main municipalities in the Paraíba Valley is between 15°C and 23°C.

Due to the anticipated heavy rains, the National Institute of Meteorology has issued a warning for the risk of intense rainfall across all cities in the region, leading to potential disruptions or safety concerns for residents. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of the rainfall throughout the week.
