Israel launches new wave of 'large-scale' attacks against Iran
The Israeli military announced a new series of large-scale attacks targeting Iranian infrastructure in Tehran and other areas as part of an ongoing conflict with the U.S.
On Monday, the Israeli military declared that it has commenced a new wave of significant attacks against Iranian infrastructure located in Tehran, Isfahan, and southern Iran, as part of an offensive alongside the United States. This announcement marks a continuation of Israel's military operations aimed at countering perceived threats from the Iranian regime. The IDFβs statement revealed that these latest strikes are the second set of attacks carried out on the same day, indicating an escalated military strategy.
Earlier in the morning, the IDF launched what they described as another offensive shortly after executing a series of strikes, including a reported attack on the headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Air Force, which oversees ballistic missile operations and drone fleets. The military asserts that these attacks are part of a broader strategy to neutralize Iran's military capabilities, which the Israeli government views as a direct threat to national security.
Additionally, on Sunday, the Israeli Air Force targeted approximately 400 Iranian military sites across western and central Iran, successfully striking ballistic missile launchers and arms production facilities. Notably, for the first time, Israel has also targeted fuel depots in Tehran and nearby regions, indicating a significant escalation in their military tactics against Iran, with implications for regional stability and international diplomatic relations.
