When a masterpiece has an accessible image
Swatch has launched a new collection inspired by renowned artists, aiming to make art more accessible to everyone.
Swatch continues its artistic journey with the Swatch × Guggenheim collection, which celebrates the works of iconic artists like Edgar Degas, Paul Klee, Claude Monet, and Jackson Pollock. This collaboration with the Guggenheim museums in New York and Venice seeks to merge wearable art with cultural appreciation. Since the early 1990s, Swatch has been committed to making art accessible, transforming timepieces into canvases that showcase revered artistic styles.
The collection features four unique watch models, each inspired by legendary artworks, thus inviting wearers to engage with art in a daily, practical manner. Carlo Giordanetti, the CEO of Swatch Art Peace Hotel, emphasizes the intention behind this initiative as a long-term vision to democratize art. By doing so, Swatch not only promotes the legacy of these artists but also encourages a new generation to appreciate and experience art.
