In Bagalkot, Karnataka, an auto driver identified as Yamunori Bhajantri has been arrested on charges of instructing his 12-year-old son to write the slogan 'Jai Shri Ram' on the external wall of a local mosque. The incident occurred late on Friday night, during which the accused took six children, including his son and relatives, to the area. The act was recorded by nearby CCTV cameras, which later aided the police in identifying and apprehending Bhajantri.

Following the discovery of the CCTV footage, police conducted a visit to the site, leading to a review of the video evidence which pinpointed Bhajantri as the perpetrator. In light of the incident, the district police have made a public appeal urging parents and guardians to refrain from involving children in illegal activities. The auto driver was immediately arrested, while his son was kept under juvenile procedures and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
