Leões da Hortolândia has emerged as the champion of the Jundiaí carnival in São Paulo, marking their sixth victory in this prestigious event. Despite challenges posed by rain, the carnival festivities proceeded with the parades of five competing samba schools on Saturday afternoon. The competition was intense, leading to a tie in points between Leões da Hortolândia and União do Povo, necessitating a tiebreaker to determine the champion.

The decisive factor for the tiebreaker was the category of 'harmony', which was resolved through a draw by the presidents of the competing schools. Leões da Hortolândia triumphed with a perfect score of 10, leaving União do Povo just short with a score of 9.9. The parades commenced at 6 PM in the City Administrative area, drawing attention despite the inclement weather, showcasing the local cultural dedication and excitement surrounding the event.

The carnival celebrations kicked off with the entrance of the carnival court, followed by the performances of the samba schools in a specified order. The order of parades included União do Povo, União da Vila, Leões da Hortolândia, Arco-Íris, and finally, Império da Maringá, which capped off the vibrant showcase of samba culture.
