Results of Day 3 of the Paralympics: Kosuda finishes 4th, Oguri 7th in men's snowboard cross
On the third day of the Paralympics, Juntaku Kosuda finished 4th and Daichi Oguri 7th in the men's snowboard cross event for athletes with lower limb impairments.
On March 8th, during the third day of the Paralympics, Japanese athlete Juntaku Kosuda, who also served as the flag bearer for the Japanese team, competed fiercely in the men’s snowboard cross event for athletes with thigh disabilities. Kosuda managed to secure a notable 4th place, showcasing his skill and determination. Meanwhile, fellow competitor Daichi Oguri finished in a commendable 7th place, marking significant efforts from the Japanese snowboard team.
In the women’s snowboard cross event for athletes with lower limb impairments, Eri Sakashita also represented Japan and finished in 8th place. This Paralympic event highlighted the growing presence of Japanese athletes in winter sports, with the community rallying around their performances amidst a competitive international field. In addition to these performances, Takaharu Minamoto participated in the men's 12.5 km biathlon (sitting), where he secured a 19th place finish.
