Police investigate bones found in land after fire in Presidente Prudente

The Civil Police of Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, is currently investigating bone fragments that were found on a vacant lot in the Jardim Itapura neighborhood after a fire incident. The discovery was made on the morning of Saturday, October 7, when a local resident called the authorities after noticing the remains amongst the debris. This investigation follows alarming activity where a man was seen arriving in a car, discarding items on the property, and subsequently setting them ablaze, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the bone fragments.

According to witness accounts, around 5:30 AM, a woman observed a strange vehicle stop outside her home on Rua José Scobosa. A man exited the car, disposed of various objects onto the vacant lot, and ignited them before leaving the scene. Only hours later, at approximately 9 AM, the resident returned to the site and found small fragments of bones among the charred remains. Prompted by this unsettling find, he immediately contacted the Military Police, who then initiated an investigation into the matter.

The existence of bone fragments raises significant concerns about potential criminal activity, and local authorities are focused on ascertaining their origin.
