Rebound and Vibes functional training activate the city
The city gains a new exercise alternative with the opening of Rebound, Ecuador's first local wellness rebounder dedicated to trampoline cardio.
Ecuador's city has recently welcomed a new fitness option, Rebound, which officially opened its doors last month. This facility is dedicated to trampoline cardio and is located on the second floor of C.C. Río Plaza, situated at km 1 of Avenida Samborondón. The idea for Rebound originated during the pandemic when founder Mavie Figallo, a physiotherapist and sports physiotherapy master's graduate, sought an accessible way to train at home, leading her to discover the benefits of trampoline workouts.
Rebound stands not just as a place for aerobic exercise, but also emphasizes coordination and balance training. After the initial concept was put on hold due to other commitments, Figallo revived her project in 2025, completed her training, and began preparing coaches for the upcoming launch. The initiative highlights how alternative fitness methods can effectively cater to diverse community needs and potentially transform the local wellness landscape.
The establishment of Rebound indicates a growing trend in wellness-focused training alternatives. This reflects a broader cultural shift towards health and fitness in Ecuador, particularly as people seek innovative ways to stay active amidst ongoing lifestyle changes post-pandemic. Supporting local enterprises like Rebound can significantly enhance community engagement and promote healthier living among residents.
