The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) detailed their recent airstrikes in Tehran, focusing on specific targets within the city. Among these was the space and satellite headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which the IDF claims operated as a center for data collection, transmission, and research for the Iranian Space Agency connected to the regime's military infrastructure.

The headquarters reportedly housed research facilities as well as a command and control structure for the Khayyam satellite, which was launched by Iran in August 2022. The IDF alleged that the IRGC utilized this satellite to further terrorist activities and monitor the State of Israel along with other countries in the region.
