A driver ran a red light, causing an accident that led to a car crashing into a beauty salon in Tatuapé, São Paulo.

In the early hours of Sunday, a driver in Tatuapé, São Paulo, neglected a red traffic signal, resulting in a significant accident. The 18-year-old driver, operating a Hyundai ix35, collided with a Renault Clio driven by a 40-year-old man, leading to a chain reaction that ultimately ended with the Clio veering off the road and crashing into a local beauty salon, Etnia Black. This salon specializes in services for curly and textured hair and sustained considerable damage as a result of the crash.

Emergency services responded promptly, and the driver of the Clio was injured during the incident and required assistance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). Preliminary reports from the Military Police indicated that the incident would be classified as causing bodily harm due to negligent driving, and it has been recorded at the 30th Police District. The incident raises concerns about traffic safety and adherence to traffic laws in urban areas, particularly in high-traffic zones like Tatuapé.

This accident not only caused physical injuries but also highlights the impact that traffic rule violations can have on local businesses and community safety. The destroyed entrance of Etnia Black exemplifies how such reckless behavior can lead to broader consequences beyond immediate harm to individuals, affecting the livelihoods of local entrepreneurs and the safety of citizens enjoying public spaces.
