Okamura criticizes Šichtařová, asking her to be more active in the Parliament. Does she even understand the content of her mandate?

Tomio Okamura and Radek Vondráček have urged MP Markéta Šichtařová to be more active in her parliamentary role amidst criticism of her low participation rates.

Tomio Okamura, leader of the SPD party, and Radek Vondráček, deputy head of the ANO movement, have called on MP Markéta Šichtařová to increase her engagement and activity within the Czech Parliament. Their comments were made during a broadcast of České televize's program 'Otázky Václava Moravce'. Šichtařová has a voting attendance rate of approximately 57% and has yet to participate in a parliamentary discussion, raising questions about her commitment to her role as a legislator.

Despite being a member of both the health and economic parliamentary committees, she has withdrawn from both, which has sparked media scrutiny. Many have observed that rather than participating in parliamentary duties, she spends time creating social media videos offering her consulting services, which has led to further accusations of neglecting her obligations. Vondráček remarked on the importance of the committees, suggesting that if Šichtařová finds them uninteresting, she might want to reconsider her career path in politics.

Okamura reinforced the notion that elected officials should be active in their roles, emphasizing the need to separate private business endeavors from their duties in the Chamber. This situation points to broader concerns about accountability and the expectations of elected representatives in Czech politics.
