Jasmi Joensuu opened up about people's behavior on Yle: "It's quite difficult to ignore"

Jasmi Joensuu, a prominent Finnish skier, placed eighth in the traditional 10 km race in Lahti, sharing this achievement with fellow skier Johanna Matintalo, both achieving the same time. In a post-race interview with Yle, Joensuu discussed how a disappointing sprint competition the day before fueled her performance in the race, highlighting her competitive spirit and drive to improve her results. She acknowledged her past struggles in recent sprint events and expressed her belief in her capabilities despite the setbacks. During the interview, Joensuu also revealed having received harsh feedback via messages after the previous day's race, which have caused her some emotional distress. She noted, however, that it is difficult to dismiss such negativity when one knows their potential is much greater and expressed a desire to continue pushing through these challenges to achieve success in her sport.
