Finland's NHL veteran has a horrific first seconds at a new club – soon something happened at the other end

Jaden Schwartz suffered a serious injury in the first period of his game with the Seattle Kraken against the Ottawa Senators after a skate blade accidentally struck his face.

In a recent NHL matchup between the Seattle Kraken and Ottawa Senators, Jaden Schwartz faced a terrifying incident just seconds into the game when a skate blade accidentally struck his face. The incident occurred when Schwartz's teammate, Eeli Tolvanen, tackled Senators player Nick Cousins near the Kraken's bench, causing Cousins to lose his balance and inadvertently kick his skate high, resulting in the blade making contact with Schwartz's face. Fortunately, it appears that only the boot of Cousins' skate hit Schwartz, though the impact forced him to the ice, where he also hit his head on the rink.
