Despite achieving a historic low in overall unemployment, women still experience higher unemployment rates, with the latest data from IBGE showing a rate of 6.2% among women compared to 4.2% for men. Additionally, only about 52.8% of women of working age are part of the labor force compared to 72% of men, highlighting a persistent gender gap in employment.
