Estonian badminton player Kristin Kuuba has successfully reached the semifinals of a tournament in Caldas da Rainhas, Portugal. Kuuba, who is currently ranked 127th in the Badminton World Federation (BWF), has shown impressive form by winning her first two matches under pressure, defeating Romanian player Vlada Ginga and Swiss player Azkya Aliefa Ruhanda in hard-fought contests. In the quarterfinals, she faced Italian player Gianna Stiglich and secured her spot in the semifinals with a solid performance, winning the match in straight games.
In the upcoming semifinals, Kuuba will compete against the tournament's top seed, Brazilian player Juliana Viana Vieira, who is ranked 68th and has not lost a single game in the tournament so far. This match holds significant importance for Kuuba as it is her final competition before the European Championships scheduled to take place in Spain in April.
