Damage to Iranian Military Facilities Visible in Satellite Images

Satellite images reveal destruction to Iranian military facilities due to strikes carried out by the US and Israel.

Satellite images acquired by BBC Verify, taken by the US intelligence firm Vantor, show the damage inflicted on several Iranian military sites as a result of strikes by the United States and Israel. The images capture widespread destruction, including significant damage to buildings at the Parchin military complex located about 30 kilometers east of Tehran, as well as destruction at the Baruka naval base. Additionally, at least five charred aircraft can be seen at the Shiraz air force base, highlighting the impact of these military operations.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued an apology to the Gulf nations for the attacks launched by Iran in response to these strikes. He stated that military forces have been ordered to refrain from attacking neighboring countries, except in cases where attacks on Iran originate from their territory. This statement seeks to mitigate regional tensions and convey a message of restraint on Iran's part, following the escalated military activity.

Meanwhile, the UK Ministry of Defence has recently confirmed that the United States has begun utilizing British bases for 'special defensive operations' aimed at preventing Iran from launching missiles in the region. This collaboration between the US and the UK against Iranian military capabilities underscores the growing concerns of Western nations regarding Iran's military capabilities and intentions, raising the stakes in an already tense geopolitical environment in the Middle East.
