During the last stage of the men's relay race of the biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti, Norway emerged victorious with a time of 1:13:30.7, despite facing challenges during the race. After a strong start by Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, the Norwegian team temporarily fell to fifth place during the second leg but managed to recover with impressive performances from Sturla Holm Laegreid and Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen who ultimately secured the win. France and Sweden followed in second and third place, respectively, showcasing a competitive field across the event.
The Estonian team, featuring Rene Zahkna, Kristo Siimer, Mark-Markos Kehva, and Mehis Udam adapted their line-up due to Jakob Kulbin's participation in the junior world championships. Initially struggling in 18th position, the team climbed to ninth thanks to a strong performance in the third leg, although anchor leg runner Udam finished the race in tenth place after falling back one position. Despite the minor setback, this finish solidified Estonia's consistent presence in the top ten of the event.
