Amazônia Play: free streaming dedicated to audiovisual production in the region launched in Amapá
Amazônia Play, a free streaming platform dedicated to audiovisual productions from Amapá and the Amazon, was launched to promote local creative industries.
The Amazônia Play platform was launched on Saturday in Santana, Amapá, aiming to showcase the audiovisual works from the Amazon region. This free streaming service intends to offer a variety of local productions, including fiction films, documentaries, animations, and music videos, accessible to audiences in the region, Brazil, and internationally.
Abel Neto, the project's creator and coordinator, highlighted the need for a centralized platform to present the previously dispersed local productions. He emphasized that Amazônia Play seeks to elevate the audiovisual scene of Amapá, allowing for greater visibility of the region’s works not only to local but also to external audiences. The initiative represents a significant step in promoting the creative industries of northern Brazil.
The launch event held at Senac in Santana featured an array of cultural programming, providing an opportunity to honor local talents and engage the community. This new platform has potential implications for the growth of regional creativity and could foster collaboration among artists, filmmakers, and audiences both within Brazil and beyond.
