Powerful strike: Ukraine destroyed a Russian 'Shahed' drone base with rockets

Ukraine's military used long-range missiles to strike a Russian drone base, resulting in a large fire and secondary detonations, indicating munitions storage.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operation involved the use of long-range missiles ATACMS and SCALP. The strike was carried out by the Ground Forces' missile and artillery units in coordination with the Air Force. Following the attack, a large-scale fire and secondary explosions were observed, suggesting the presence of explosive materials or ammunition at the site.

The attack near Donetsk airport was part of a broader nighttime operation. The occupants' drone control point was destroyed in the Dibrova area of Luhansk region, and strikes were also conducted on a command post and observation point in the Kruhliakivka area of Kharkiv region. Additionally, Ukrainian defenders targeted Russian artillery positions in the Tavilžanka, Voskresenka, and Novopavlivka districts. The extent of the enemy's losses is currently being assessed.

The Ukrainian army emphasizes the ongoing systematic attacks on command posts and drone control centers as part of their military strategy to diminish the operational capabilities of the Russian forces. This latest operation highlights Ukraine's continued efforts to assert control over critical regions and disrupt enemy operations, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
