Police intercept car with hostages in the trunk on BR-040 and dismantles kidnapping that started in RJ

On the night of Friday, November 6, the Military Police of Minas Gerais successfully intercepted a vehicle used for a kidnapping that commenced in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The operation took place at a gas station along BR-040, near RibeirΓ£o das Neves, in the Greater Belo Horizonte area. Officers from the Specialized Recovery Group (GER) managed to locate and stop the car, discovering the hostages confined in the trunk during the vehicle's apprehension.
According to the police report, the exact number of hostages and the motives behind the abduction have not yet been disclosed. Thankfully, the hostages were released on site, although their health status has not been made available as of the last update. Two suspects were arrested at the scene along with two minors, and police found a weapon as part of their investigation into the kidnapping, which has been handed over to the Civil Police for further inquiry.
