Swedish authorities have detained the bulk cargo vessel 'Caffa', which was reportedly transporting grain from Casablanca to St. Petersburg, during an operation involving both a helicopter and a patrol boat. According to Swedish Coast Guard representative Mattias Lindholms, a thorough inspection of the ship is currently underway, but no decisions on further actions have been made yet. Lindholms emphasized the importance of the ongoing maritime search in proximity to Trelleborg, suggesting that authorities are taking a cautious approach while assessing the situation.

Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin noted that the ownership structure of the vessel raises significant concerns and suggested that it may not be insured as it has recently changed its flag from Russia to Guinea.
