Tornadoes that struck the state of Michigan resulted in four fatalities and over a dozen injuries according to local reports.

On Friday evening, tornadoes that swept through the state of Michigan led to the tragic loss of four lives and left more than a dozen injured. Reports indicate that in the southern part of the state, near Union City, three individuals were confirmed dead due to the tornado, and at least twelve others were reported injured. Furthermore, local authorities in Cass County reported another fatality caused by a tornado about 80 kilometers west of the initial site, alongside multiple injuries.

The Branch County Sheriff's Office expressed condolences to those affected by the disasters, stating their thoughts are with the families and friends who have lost loved ones and property in this incident. Additionally, there were reports of fallen trees blocking roads and properties, affecting over 500 residents who were left without electricity. The sheriff's office has issued statements to coordinate the response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the tornadoes.

In light of the devastation, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the activation of the state crisis center to effectively manage the emergency response and support recovery operations in the impacted areas. Emergency service teams have been deployed in accordance with state protocols to assess the damages and provide necessary aid to those in need during this crisis.
