Ukrainian forces hit ammo storage point, UAV command post and Russian communication tower – General Staff
Ukrainian forces successfully targeted Russian military facilities, including ammunition storage and communication towers, to diminish offensive capabilities.
On the night of March 4-5, Ukrainian military forces executed a series of strikes against Russian military targets, resulting in significant damage to key infrastructure. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported hits on an ammunition storage point located in Donetsk Oblast, a communications tower situated in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and a UAV command post within Russia's Belgorod Oblast. These operations were part of a broader strategic initiative to weaken the offensive capabilities of Russian forces in the region.
In addition to the primary targets, Ukrainian forces also focused on logistical support facilities, targeting munitions unloading sites in Crimea and multiple depots throughout the occupied territories. Areas affected included Berdiansk and Shevchenkivske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, along with Pryazovske in the Donetsk Oblast. These tactical strikes were aimed at disrupting supply lines and reducing the operational efficiency of Russian troops positioned near the frontlines.
As assessments of damage continue, the implications of these attacks highlight Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to resist Russian aggression and regain control over its territories. By targeting essential military infrastructure, the Ukrainian forces not only aim to diminish the immediate threats posed by the occupying forces but also send a strategic message regarding their intent and capability to retaliate, bolstering morale both within Ukraine and among its allies in the international community.
