Arnold Classic Ohio 2026: Wesley Vissers is the champion in the Classic Physique category

Dutch bodybuilder Wesley Vissers won the Arnold Classic Ohio 2026 in the Classic Physique category, earning his second title after defeating several competitors.

Wesley Vissers, a Dutch bodybuilder, clinched the championship title in the Classic Physique category at the Arnold Classic Ohio 2026 held on June 6th. He showcased exceptional skill and muscle definition, successfully defeating notable competitors including Matheus Menegate, Andrea Mammoli, Kim Angel, and Jorge Herrera, who finished in second to fifth places respectively. This marks Vissers' second title in this prestigious tournament, having previously won in 2024 against Ramon Dino.

The competition witnessed a significant reduction in contenders in the Classic Physique category, as key participants faced challenges ahead of the event. Mike Sommerfeld, a leading contender, was unable to make weight, eliminating him from the competition. Additionally, another competitor, Gabriel Zancanelli, unfortunately sustained an injury during the crucial stages of preparation, leading to his withdrawal. These developments may have influenced the overall dynamic of the competition, allowing Vissers to seize this opportunity and secure victory.

Apart from the Classic Physique, other categories such as Fitness and Wellness also concluded on the same day, with Michelle Fredua-Mensah and Rayane Fogal emerging as winners in their respective divisions. This year's Arnold Classic not only highlighted Vissers' comeback after taking the previous year off to address his weaknesses but also illustrated the unpredictable nature of body-building competitions, where preparation and circumstance can greatly impact the outcomes.
