Yusei Kikuchi, the 34-year-old baseball player, shared his emotional reaction upon receiving the Japan national team's uniform, where he struggled to find words to describe his feelings. He reflected on the significance of wearing the national colors for the first time, saying it is undoubtedly his 'first and last' opportunity to do so. Throughout his career, from his outstanding performances in high school to being an ace pitcher for the Seibu Lions, Kikuchi had never had the chance to represent Japan until now during the World Baseball Classic (WBC).
