The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) successfully arrested two suspected bandits, Abubakar Jubril, 28, and Mohammed Abubakar, 26, during a significant intelligence-driven operation in Saminaka, Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State. This operation, which took place on March 3, 2026, resulted from sustained surveillance by NSCDC operatives who had identified the suspects as part of a trio observed in a notably volatile area known for criminal activities.
During the arrest, the operatives managed to recover crucial evidence linked to the suspects, including a confiscated pistol, a mobile phone, drugs suspected to be tramadol, and cigarettes. As part of the operation's details, it was reported that a third suspect managed to escape and is currently being pursued by the NSCDC for apprehension. The Kwara State Commandant, Bala Bodinga, emphasized the organization's ongoing commitment to countering criminal enterprises within the region.
