Jets add two prospects and three draft picks

The Winnipeg Jets traded veterans Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn to the Buffalo Sabres for two prospects and three draft picks, while also sending Tanner Pearson for a 2026 seventh-round choice.

In a significant move ahead of the NHL trade deadline, the Winnipeg Jets have traded away three of their pending unrestricted free agents to the Buffalo Sabres. The transactions included veteran defensemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn in exchange for prospects Jacob Bryson and Isak Rosen, along with multiple draft picks: the Sabres' second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2026, which will favor the better of the Sabres' and Edmonton Oilers' fourth-round selections. The Jets have retained 50% of Schenn's contract to facilitate the trade. Additionally, forward Tanner Pearson was sent to Buffalo for a seventh-round selection in 2026, marking an extensive reshaping of the Jets' roster right before the trade deadline.
