The IEA Secretary-General indicated that there are currently no plans for a coordinated release of oil reserves despite rising prices due to the situation in Iran.
The Secretary-General of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, addressed rising oil prices during a press conference in Brussels, attributing the increase to temporary disturbances in logistics and geopolitical tensions related to Iran. He emphasized that despite these challenges, the market currently has ample oil supplies. The IEA previously reported that oil supply has been excessive, projecting a surplus of approximately 3.7 million barrels per day for the year.
