In São Paulo, a 28-year-old cook was arrested in connection to disturbing allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting two coworkers. The incidents are said to have taken place at the Anália Franco Shopping Mall, where the suspect worked. The police have not disclosed his name and were unable to find legal representation for him as the investigation unfolds.

Victims of the alleged assaults include a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old teenage girl, both of whom reported that the cook invited them to his home and offered to serve them alcoholic drinks, which were later suspected to contain sedative medications. According to the investigators, these substances reportedly incapacitated the victims, leaving them unable to resist during the assaults. In one case, toxicology tests confirmed the presence of diazepam, a sedative, in the victim's system.

The case has been formally registered as rape involving a vulnerable party, prompting the judiciary to order a preventive detention without a fixed time for the suspect. The 5th Women’s Defense Police Station is conducting the investigation, highlighting the serious legal consequences that may arise from such allegations, as well as the need for continued vigilance against workplace abuse and the importance of supporting victims in coming forward with their stories.
