The 'Grand Music Awards 2025' have been presented, highlighting notable contributions in music, with the Young Artist of the Year award going to Eduards Rediko.

The 'Grand Music Awards' serve as an appreciation from the music industry towards outstanding artists for their consistently high-quality performances, both domestically and internationally representing Latvia's name. During a press conference announcing the nominees for the awards, the Minister of Culture Agnese Lāce emphasized that hosting the awards outside of Riga showcases Latvia as a successful example where diverse and high-quality cultural events are accessible to residents across all regions, thanks to state support. Significant awards were given for lifetime contributions in music to composer Georgs Pelēcis and organist Larisa Bulava, highlighting their enduring influence in the field.

Additionally, the award for outstanding interpretation went to cellist Magdalena Ceple for her performance of Mieczysław Weinberg's 'Concertino for Cello and Strings,' performed with 'Kremerata Baltica' on September 14 at the Dzintaru Concert Hall. Meanwhile, the Young Work of the Year was awarded to Jēkabs Jančevskis for his First Symphony (Organ Symphony), which had its premiere on September 20 at the Liepāja Concert Hall 'Lielais dzintars'. This celebration of Latvian talent reflects a vibrant cultural landscape and the importance of continued support for the arts in fostering such contributions to the music community.
