Hungary has successfully handed over seven Ukrainian cash-in-transit staff members who were detained by its Counterterrorism Centre officers. The situation arose when the individuals were taken into custody while conducting their duties in Hungary. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed the safety of the returned staff and emphasized the smooth cooperation between Hungary and Ukraine in resolving this matter.

The detained individuals, including Oleksandr Kucherianyi, Petro Kachalov, Hennadii Kuznietsov, Serhii Sydorenko, Valerii Kanasbevych, Serhii Malko, and Oleh Chabauiuk, were reported to be approximately 20 kilometers from the border before their handover at the Chop checkpoint. This incident has raised concerns about the treatment of Ukrainian citizens in Hungary, but the prompt resolution reflects a commitment to joint efforts in addressing any issues that may arise.
