Today, at 18:00, ETV2 and ERR's sports portal will begin live coverage of the men's 20 km standard distance race at the Kontiolahti Biathlon World Cup stage. The event features 98 athletes, including representatives from the Estonian national team such as Mark-Markos Kehva, Kristo Siimer, Rene Zahkna, and Mehis Udam. The race is a highlight of the biathlon calendar, drawing significant attention from both local and international audiences.

This race marks the fourth standard distance event of the season. Previous competitions have already set the stage with notable performances, including a victory for Norwegian athlete Johan-Olav Botn at the season opener in Östersund, and French biathlete Eric Perrot taking first place in the short standard distance event held in January at Nove Mesto. Both Botn and Perrot, along with another Norwegian, Sturla Holm Lægreid, showcased their skills again at the Milano Cortina Olympics, where they secured the podium places.

The Kontiolahti World Cup stage runs from March 5 to 8, bringing together elite athletes and setting up an exciting atmosphere for fans and participants alike.
