Out of the 65 appointed, 34 are non-career ambassadors, while 31 are career ambassadors, showcasing a diverse range of backgrounds among those chosen for diplomatic roles. High-profile appointments also include Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, the former governor of Katsina State, slated for Beijing, China, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Other significant designations comprise Senator Ita Enang in South Africa and former Health Minister Prof. Isaac Adewole in Canada, among others.
