The governorate itself, totalling about 400,000 residents, is now witnessing a mass displacement as Israeli forces have issued evacuation orders to hundreds of thousands of civilians living in proximity to the southern Litani region, raising alarms about a potential humanitarian disaster as more families are forced to leave their homes.
