Indians stranded in the Middle East will return home on special flights... here are the details

Special flights are being arranged to bring back Indians stranded in the Middle East due to rising tensions and disruptions in air traffic caused by ongoing conflicts.

The situation in the Middle East has grown increasingly tense due to ongoing warfare, significantly impacting air travel in the region. To assist Indian nationals stranded in the area, special arrangements are being made for their safe return home. Over the past few days, numerous Indians have already returned safely via these special flights, reflecting ongoing efforts to ensure their well-being during this crisis.

Etihad Airways has announced the resumption of flights between Abu Dhabi and eight cities in India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and Kolkata, from March 6 to March 19. The airline has stated that priority will be given to passengers with pre-existing bookings, and tickets can be purchased through their website. It has been advised that travelers should not go to the airport without a confirmed booking, as flights will only operate if all safety protocols are met.

In addition, SpiceJet is set to operate 14 special flights starting from March 6, connecting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with India. Out of these, 13 flights will operate from Fujairah and one from Dubai, with multiple flights scheduled from both locations to Mumbai and Delhi. These developments highlight the concerted efforts by airlines and the Indian government to facilitate the safe return of citizens amidst escalating conflicts in the region.
