Finland Wins World Championship Silver! Fierce Battle for Gold

Finland secured a silver medal in the Winter Championships, narrowly missing gold by just one second.

Early Friday morning, Finland’s team comprised of Niklas Ekström and Amanda Yli-Futka clinched a silver medal in ski orienteering at the World Championships held in Japan. Their finish was a nail-biting affair, as they lost to Norway, the gold medalists, by a mere second, while also narrowly edging out Sweden for bronze, winning that contest also by one second.
