Israeli losses from Iranian attacks: hundreds injured and significant material damage

Israeli health authorities report over 1,600 injuries and substantial property damage due to Iranian missile strikes in the ongoing conflict.

Israeli health officials announced on Friday that since the onset of the recent conflict with Iran, 1,619 individuals have been hospitalized due to missile attacks. The ongoing Iranian strikes have led to considerable destruction of buildings and infrastructure, particularly impacting areas close to Tel Aviv. Furthermore, the reported death toll has reached 12, with nine fatalities recorded from a missile attack in the Beit Shemesh area near Jerusalem, and others indirectly related while seeking shelter from the attacks.

In addition to the injuries, the Israeli Ministry of Health reported the evacuation of 2,328 residents, highlighting that a significant number of those displaced originated from the Tel Aviv region. The strikes have prompted a contextual understanding of the physical and psychological toll the conflict has imposed on civilians, reflecting the pervasive fears and disruptions faced by the Israeli population amid the conflict.

Moreover, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps initiated a significant missile offensive targeting central Israel, resulting in substantial property damage and fires. Israeli media have pointed out that there is often a near-total blackout on the details of Israeli military casualties and the specifics of the Iranian strikes, including the number of missiles fired and their impact. This lack of transparency has implications for public awareness and response during escalating conflicts like the current situation.
