Recent reports from local journalists in Ukraine reveal that Russian forces have abducted approximately 19 residents from the border village of Sopych in Sumy Oblast. This action follows the refusal of these individuals to evacuate the area, as their village, part of the Esman hromada, has seen a significant decline in population due to ongoing conflict. The remaining residents, previously numbering around 300, have been gradually leaving the region amidst escalating tensions.
