Most of Iran's rockets have been destroyed, claims Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the majority of Iran's air defense and missile capabilities have been completely or mostly destroyed, stressing a significant reduction in missile attacks from Iran.

In a recent announcement, U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that Iran's air defense and missile capabilities have been largely eliminated. He stated that all of Iran's zenith artillery and air forces have been destroyed, claiming that around 60% of Iran's missiles and 64% of their launch facilities have been taken out. Trump emphasized the speed of U.S. retaliation, suggesting that Iran's missile launch capabilities are swiftly targeted within minutes of any launch attempt.

This claim of destroyed missile capabilities by Iran comes amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran, particularly regarding the latter's missile and nuclear programs. Washington has previously identified Iran’s rocket program as a key military objective alongside its naval forces. The statement points to the U.S. strategy of aggressively countering Iran's military program while continuing diplomatic relations concerning its nuclear ambitions. Trump's remarks highlight a continued emphasis on military preparedness and deterrence.

Additionally, Admiral Brad Cooper, the head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), backed Trump's claims during a press conference, noting a significant decrease in the number of ballistic missile and drone attacks originating from Iran since the onset of hostilities. According to Cooper, the attacks have dropped by approximately 90% and 83% respectively. Such reductions could imply a substantial shift in Iran’s military operations and strategy, which may influence future engagements and regional stability.
