Defender-like look... Mini Duster is coming to compete with Thar and Jimny

Renault teases its upcoming SUV named Bridger Concept, also known as Mini Duster, set to unveil on March 10.

Renault has teased its upcoming SUV named the Bridger Concept, referred to as the Mini Duster, which is scheduled for a presentation on March 10. While specific design details have yet to be revealed, several renders suggest a design reminiscent of a smaller version of the Defender, rather than the expected features of the Mini Duster. This has sparked anticipation in the automotive community about the new styling direction Renault might be taking.

On March 17, the new Duster is set to be launched, and the company plans to create a significant impact by unveiling the Bridger Concept a week earlier. The renders created by Auto Moto indicate a design that could reflect real-life aesthetics and has drawn comparisons to off-road vehicles like the Defender. The teaser images shared by Renault showcase a glimpse of the car's upper sections, enough to provide an indication of its overall design ethos.

The car is anticipated to feature a boxy design with off-road capabilities, highlighting a flat roof equipped with heavy-duty roof rails. Conventional door handles and flared wheel arches are also suspected to be part of the design. Furthermore, the rear section is expected to include a flat windscreen and a tailgate with the spare tire mounted on the back gate, reinforcing its rugged off-road styling that could compete directly with rivals in the segment such as the Mahindra Thar and Suzuki Jimny.
