New price record for condominiums in central Stockholm

The average price for condominiums in central Stockholm has reached a new record of 118,822 SEK per square meter, significantly outpacing prices elsewhere in Sweden.

A new record has been set for the average price of condominiums in central Stockholm, reaching 118,822 Swedish Kronor (SEK) per square meter, according to data from Svensk Mäklarstatistik. This figure not only establishes Stockholm as the city with the highest prices in Sweden but also marks the greatest percentage increase in prices from the previous month compared to other regions.

Real estate experts highlight that the Stockholm market appears to function in a league of its own. Hans Flink points out that the inner city of Stockholm has always attracted many, particularly young professionals, who are eager to invest in property in this vibrant area. As a result, local demand has driven prices significantly higher, establishing the capital as a key player in the national real estate landscape.

Additionally, there have been notable shifts within the desirable neighborhoods of Stockholm. Vasastan-Norrmalm has now overtaken Östermalm as the district with the highest square meter price, while Södermalm has climbed past Kungsholmen into the third position. Marcus Svanberg, CEO of LF Fastighetsförmedling, emphasizes that Stockholm's rebound has led to an unusually large price surge for condominiums, reflecting the optimism of homebuyers about the future of the housing market in the city.
