Despite the ongoing losses due to the war in the Middle East, analysts from the Citi Expectations Survey have improved their forecasts for the Mexican peso's exchange rate by the close of 2026. The consensus among the specialists consulted by the US bank predicts that the exchange rate will close the year at 18.18 pesos per dollar, a minor adjustment from the previous expectation of 18.20 pesos. This positive adjustment signals a level of optimism amidst global volatility.

Investment firm Morgan Stanley posits an even more optimistic outlook, suggesting that the peso could strengthen to 17 pesos per dollar by the end of this year.
