At the Junior World Figure Skating Championships held in Tondiraba, Estonia, Canadian pair skaters Ava Kemp and Yohnatan Elizarov won the gold medal in the pairs event, showcasing an impressive performance. After placing second in the short program with 62.22 points, the pair excelled in the free skate, earning a remarkable 105.68 points and totaling 167.90 points overall. This victory highlights their skills and determination in a highly competitive environment.

Kemp and Elizarov's compatriots, Jazmine Desrochers and Kieran Thrasher, finished in second place after leading the competition heading into the free skate. Despite their earlier advantage with a short program score that was only 0.62 points higher, they scored 99.41 points in the free skate, which ultimately placed them behind their fellow Canadians with a final score of 162.25 points. The performance of the Ukrainian pair, Hannah Herrera and Ivan Khobta, secured them a third-place finish with a total of 160.15 points, demonstrating a strong international presence at the event.

The championships continue with ice dance rhythm dance and men's free skate scheduled for Friday, bringing more excitement to the competition.
