A bus operated by the municipal health department of Sinop, in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, experienced an accident on BR-163 while returning from CuiabΓ‘ with 27 passengers onboard. According to a statement from the city hall, the patients were being transported by a third-party company when the incident occurred. The passengers were provided with necessary support at the scene, as stated in the official note.
The concessionaire Rota do Oeste, responsible for that section of the highway, reported that the bus was traveling northbound at kilometer 814 when the driver lost control, causing the bus to veer off the road and come to rest in a ditch located in the central median.
