The rescue operation took place on Wednesday, and given that the mare was close to giving birth, the firefighters exercised extra caution to ensure the animal’s safety. Instead of using direct pulling techniques that could cause distress or harm to the mare or her unborn foal, the team opted for a more careful approach. They decided to dig a sloped ramp leading to the inside of the pit, allowing for a safer extraction of the mare.
