Thirty-seven hours in the air. Bombers carrying bombs to Iran from the USA
The United States and Israel have initiated a large air operation against the Iranian regime, marking the largest aerial operation in the Middle East since 2003.
The mission between the United States and Israel against the Iranian regime has escalated into what is considered the largest air operation in the Middle East since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Under the operation known as Epic Fury, significant roles are played by stealth bombers B-1 and B-2, which are loaded with tons of lethal payload and are making the long journey from the United States.
On March 1st, four fully-loaded B-2 Spirit stealth bombers took off from an American base in Missouri, embarking on a long-haul flight to target Iranian ballistic missile manufacturing plants. Following the B-2s, on March 2nd, supersonic B-1B Lancer bombers launched towards the same destination, tasked with continuing the operations initiated by the B-2 bombers. The operation collectively amounts to a lengthy 37-hour mission, during which the aircraft required refueling from tankers.
Foreign sources indicate that the United States opted for this complex scenario due to the strategic importance of neutralizing Iranian defenses. The extensive duration and logistical coordination involved reflects the magnitude of the military operation, suggesting heightened military tensions in the region and significant implications for international relations concerning the Iranian nuclear threat.
