Interest in Anthropic's AI tool Claude has surged in South Korea, coinciding with its extensive use in US military operations against Iran.
Amid reports of the US utilizing Anthropic's generative AI, Claude, extensively in its airstrikes on Iran, there is a noticeable increase in interest and user adoption of the service in South Korea. According to data released by data tech company IG Works, the number of Claude users in South Korea surged by 70% (110,000 users) compared to the previous month, placing it 40th among the top-gaining mobile apps. In contrast, OpenAI's ChatGPT saw a user increase of 160,000, ranking 31st, but its growth rate was limited to just 1% from the previous month, indicating a significant slowdown.
