On Wednesday evening, a police team in Achalganj, located in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, was assaulted when they attempted to detain a man named Ankit, who was allegedly creating a disturbance while inebriated. Reports indicate that Ankit was verbally abusive and causing chaos on the streets. When the police arrived to address the situation, Ankit became confrontational, leading to a physical altercation that escalated the confrontation. Local women and residents soon joined in, turning against the police and throwing stones at them, resulting in injuries to a police vehicle's driver and damage to the patrol car's rear window.
